The Bachelor Degree, or more commonly known as a "four-year" degree, is the most common college degree earned in the United States. It's typically seen as minimum requirement for many jobs and advancement. For many people, earning a bachelors is just the begriming. To achieve some career goals, a Masters Degree or even a Doctoral (PhD) is required.
To get a bachelor degree, you typically need to take enough classes to earn a minimum of 120-125 credits. The majority of these classes will be in general Arts or Sciences class - hence your degree will be a Bachelor of Arts (humanities, social or behavioral science, language, fine arts, etc) or a Bachelor of Science ( life, physical or mathamatical scienceces)
A minority of classes will be in you area of interest, your major. (See the list to the left for the majors available to you online)
If you've already earned some college credit, you can typically transfer those credits to your new school. (Typically you can transfer up to 60 credits from another accredited college). In fact, if you have an Associates Degree, getting full credit for past work is much more likely.
The first step is learning more about the college or university that offers the major(s) you are interested in. Below is a list of the most popular colleges and universities offering bachelor degree programs online. To the left is a complete list of all the schools and majors.
I recommend that you get information from 2-3 schools. Learn the most you can about each one to be sure it's right for you.
